Serato DJ Intro doesn’t get much in the way of updates. It is after all by definition introductory software, and will always be an essentials subset of the full fat Serato DJ. But from time to time, new controllers come out that are designed with Serato DJ Intro in mind, at which point the version counter ticks over and a new version makes it out into the wild. And with the announcement of Korg’s KAOSS DJ, Serato DJ Intro has been upgraded to v1.2.4.

I’m sure that there are a few tweaks and bug fixes in there as well, but this is generally for people who have got the lovely Korg controller in mind. And of course, Serato DJ 1.7.3 works with too. I have one in the lab right now, and it’s heaps of fun. A review is in progress and will be out next week.
