Traktor 2.7 was a significant release, but as with any software release there are always issues to fix. And that’s exactly what Traktor 2.7.1 is. There’s nothing new being added, just a few bugs to squish, and an updated controller manager too.
The brief words from NI:
TRAKTOR PRO 2.7.1 is now available for free download in the NI Service Center. This is a bugfix update, which primarily solves an issue with the LED states on TRAKTOR controllers. Here’s what’s new in this update:
New Controller Editor – version (1.7.2)
S8 manuals are now included in the installers
Fixed issue that caused problems with the ‘LED off state’ on some TRAKTOR controllers
Fixed issue that caused a brightness problem on TRAKTOR KONTROL F1 controllers
Fixed issue where importing TSI settings from TRAKTOR PRO 2.6.8 caused high CPU load
We recommend all TRAKTOR users keep their software up to date to ensure the best possible user experience.
To install the update, please start the NI Service Center. Open the ‘Update’ tab, make sure the checkbox for TRAKTOR is checked, and click the ‘Download’ button. When the download is finished, just click the ‘Install’ button.
Jared is still on with his Kontrol S8 review, and has run into a multicore issue that requires further investigation by NI. I don’t think this update will fix it though. More on this when we have it.
