Black Friday bargains for DJs: the round-up

black-friday2

Americans may be filling themselves with Turkey on the last Thursday of November and feeling thankful, but the day after is Black Friday, a day for buying more stuff and rather than join the (frankly terrifying) throngs invading Walmart or your local Argos (in the UK), we can safely sit on our sofas cybersurfing the internet stores soaking up great deals. And while I may or may not have baked some Cornbread to show solidarity with my colonial cousins, I can certainly get behind a bargain. Here’s a round up of the best DJ related deals throughout the tubes.

DJ Techtools Store

With discounts ranging between 15% to 40%, there’s something for everyone in the ever-expanding DJTT store. Most importantly, prices have been slashed on both Chroma Caps and Chroma Cables, so if you want to get your customise-on, now’s the time. There’s even a price drop on the brand new Traktor Kontrol S8!

Digital DJ Tips

Phil Morse (no relation) over at DDJT has put together a discounted package of courses for those that need a bit of extra help with their DJing skills. You can save 66% on the following:

  • Pro mixtape formula
Get your recorded mixes up to a professional standard and get noticed!
  • Make your own DJ edits
Sick of hearing those unique remixes and wishing you could do that? This course teaches you how.
  • Make your own sample sets
Native Instruments added sample packs to the DJ workflow, and this course shows you how you can make your own.

You can grab this package for $147, and it hopes to make your mixes shine with your own flair.

Native Instruments

NI has a pretty big sale on their software over the weekend. There’s loads of deals, including 50% off Traktor Pro 2, Maschine 2 upgrade, and various synths and sample packs. Nothing on hardware, but I’m sure a quick search can turn up some savings.

Serato

Those of you in the Serato camp will be glad to see that there’s 30% off Serato DJ and Serato Video upgrades. Not a huge range of discounts, but useful for those who need it. If you’re looking for Serato hardware, keep an eye on the major store sites.

Decks.co.uk

UK DJ gear site Decks.co.uk has a few decent discounts for those in Europe.  You can save on DJ mixers, lighting, synths and other bits of useful gear.

Isotonik Studios

Our very own Darren’s Isotonik Studios do some decent Max4Live devices, so if you’re an Ableton Live user, check out their store and enter the code BLACK30 at the till to get 30% off your order!

WestendDJ

London-based DJ store Westend DJ have a load of deals on for today only, including the Urbanears Zinken DJ headphones I reviewed, for less than fifty quid.

Dolphin Music

Another UK company joining in the fray. Dolphin Music has deals on both production and DJ gear, from Pioneer to Marshall to Ableton.

Zzounds

Aside from taking part in the US Black Friday activities, Zzounds has an excellent and exclusive deal on Gold Beats Mixr DJ headphones — a solid 20% discount.

Mixcloud

As DJs are looking for alternatives to Soundcloud (we moved to Hearthis), Mixcloud has come along with a nice 5 day deal — 50% off Mixcloud Pro.
