How times change. Who would have thought that the seemingly entry level djay would ever be spoken of in the same breath as the acknowledged club standard? Well it happened and djay Pro is officially compatible with a fair lump of Pioneer DJ’s top tier gear. And there’s no better way to demonstrate that than to get a champion DJ to come up with a short routine, and for me to film it in The Worxlab.

So I sent a pair of XDJ-1000s and a DJM-900 to our good friend DJ Rasp, and tasked him with creating a short but funky set with a little bit of this and that to ably show that djay Pro does indeed work very nicely with the club standard.

The music used by Rasp is A. Skillz’s Drop the Funk, available from iTunes right here.

THE COMMENTS SECTION

Commenting Etiquette

Welcome to DJWORX. It’s the most engaged community around, and we have a handful of house rules to keep it that way:
  • • Be polite and constructive.
  • • Treat others as you would expect to be treated. So please disengage keyboard warrior mode before hammering in a full caps rant.
  • • Stay on topic.
  • • Consider your tone of voice. Telling someone that they’re wrong comes across better as “I don’t agree and here’s why”.
  • • No links to copyrighted or offensive material.
Life is way too short to waste time policing comments. So break the rules and you’re out. It’s just the internet, and  the DJWORX community is way more important than catering to the fragile egos of ranting trolls. I trust I have been crystal clear.
