Having experienced in-store events, it’s clear that they’re more effective than trade shows. They might not garner the hugely attractive quoted footfall numbers, but if you’ve got people who have travelled specifically to your focussed event, that’s like minded people who want to be there, and will most likely evangelise about your product when they’ve left.
The social element is hugely increased too, with company reps being on hand to talk directly with their potential and current customers. While the internet does connect us, there’s nothing quite like looking someone in the eye, and having their ear too.
