I guess we have Apple to thank for a lot of things, including the popularity of the in-app purchase. This can be a blessing (hurrah for having the option to add things you only might want) or a curse (charging for essentials under the guise of a free app). But seeing as Launchpad for iPad if fully functional without these extra effects, I’m happy to see Novation go down this route, especially when a heap of cool effects will only set you back a tenner.
