Where does the time go? It only seems like… well a relatively short time ago that I popped over to the Vacform Group’s factory just up the road in Leeds to have a look at this Decksaver idea. But it’s been a full ten years. And what started off as a crazy idea that Vacform was persuaded to try in a recession by Mustafa El-Etriby is now a world leading player in the music accessory market.
To celebrate, a special Technics 1200 (well 1210 to be precise) cake was made, courtesy of The Bun Bunny in Harrogate. And yes, the Decksaver for the Technics did fit the cake, although I’m not convinced it stopped anyone from tearing into that beauty.
Another way to celebrate is to enter the Decksaver competition on Facebook. You have the chance to win 3 x Decksaver units of your choice, provided they already make them of course. These are the terms and conditions, and this is the post that you must like and leave your comment before 31st January. Good luck to all who enter, and happy birthday Decksaver!
And seeing as this is a Decksaver story, it’s a good excuse to repost our only review video. Maybe one day, we’ll do another. I still think it’s the best review video of anything in the DJ scene.
