serato dj 1.9.1

It’s update time for Serato DJ again. Nothing major for the software itself, but more about making other things work. The Mixars Duo mixer is about to hit shop around the world, Rane’s ongoing battle with El Capitan looks to be coming to an end (pretty please release the MP25 drivers), and Pulselocker basic is available too.

The words:

So big ups to Mixars in getting the Duo into the shops and being part of the Serato mixer family. And welcome back to Rane Sixty This and That owners for getting to use Serato DJ again. And… well I don’t know what to say about Pulselocker basic. Neither myself or Mojaxx were especially happy with the pro version, and even at half the price the lack of offline play and dismally poor library still makes Pulselocker Basic an unappealing proposition.

Hopefully the pressure of poor reviews will make Pulselocker raise their game. Serato has done their bit, and they need to lean on their partner hard to keep up their end of the bargain.
