Pimp your Technics with 1200 Plates

They big boys don't need out help, so we get behind small businesses whenever possible. 1200 Plates makes very shiny faceplates for Technics turntables.

As a small business, we like to support other small businesses, especially local ones. Decksavers is local to DJWORX HQ, but even nearer is 1200 Plates, a small start-up business just over the hill in Hebden Bridge. You’ll have seen these Technics faceplates in the past around these parts. But now instead of being a sideline of another  bigger business, Ric Morley has bitten the bullet and is now doing this as his full-time gig.

Right now, 1200 Plates lives up to its name, with a selection of Technics 1200/1210 plates for MK2, MK3 and MK5 models. And they’re available in white, chrome, and gold too. But conversations with Ric indicate that this is just the start. And more than that I’m not going to say. ;)

There are literally millions of Technics turntables out there, so here’s hoping that pair by pair, they all get the 1200 Plates treatment. But please, not all at once — give Ric a chance to cope and hit the floor running.

  1. Definitively going to get a pair for my old dirty Ts, they deserve it :) But after they introduce more variants – I am looking for something more practical than glossy surface – something dark, matte and with decent patter.
