I could have gone on and on with that headline, but didn’t want it to be longer than the actual story, which is this — Vestax UK have opened the To The Core store, designed primarily to bring you Vestax spares and upgrades, as well as those limited editions that pop up from time to time.
Obviously, you’ll be able to get regular Vestax gear as well, but to satisfy those who keep asking me, you’ll be able to get the complete range of Neo Cables by Oyaide too. But this is also where Vestax’s UK’s official service company Over Audio will be able to provide spares (and a bunch of old obscure stuff too), plus full support, service and repairs. There’s an Aladdin’s cave of old Vestax stuff waiting to be catalogued, cleaned up and put in the store. And this giddy DJ cannot wait to go gear digging.

Do you think this will be a trend for other manufacturers, and do you think they will eventually sell direct instead of through say a DJ store ?
There’s no reason why others won’t follow. But it’ll be as well as the retail chain but not instead of.

Vestax used to be one of my favourite manufacturers, with cool rotary mixers (R-3) or the mighty PMC-CX. Funky turntables, the likes. Nowadays its just controllers and mixers that are too expensive for what you get (looking at you, Alpha fadered 580)
I’ve been asking for the VCI-380 Rack Mount for a year now. I’ve almost lost all hope on Vestax.

I called 3 major dealerships and they all laughed. “You’re better off making your own rack mount before Vestax actually sends it out.”

Perhaps one day, a method of transferring objects between countries will be invented so that you can get your rack mounts.
Over a year later and I’m still trying to order this. You realize Vestax UK will not ship to the States. Vestax will not even respond to my email.
Mark, since you have the connections, can you contact a Vestax sales rep and see how I can actually order one. All major DJ Equipment Dealers can’t even order this product.
This is fantastic news for anyone who has struggled with getting Vestax replacements in the past. I had an 08 pro and ended up selling it because it was virtually impossible to get a replacement crossfader for it in the UK. I ended up picking one up in Tokyo because there was no other way of getting one. Now it should be a doddle!
Nice to see this store.. thought I may be able to finally pick up 7 new feet that have broken off my PDXs TTs, but no luck yet. On second thoughts, looking elsewhere (US sites) they’re $99.99 for 4! I’m sure nylon as the connector rods work well for vibration insulation etc but have the strength of a biscuit when it comes to moving the turntables around.
