I seem to have reached a point in my existence where people seem to give a crap about the drivel I spout, and ask me to spout said drivel to other people too. A while ago it was to be part of Pioneer’s 20 years videos, and this week I get to hang out with people who have been very influential in my life, and appear on the same stage as them as well.
UK retailer DV247 is hosting a free event at their Romford superstore inviting people to come and play with what’s hot in the music making and DJ world. And headlining with a keynote is The Human League and Heaven 17’s Martyn Ware. And sitting in on a panel called “Old’SCool Again” are legendary DMC winning pool cue and rugby wielding DJ Chad Jackson, along with esteemed DJ, remixer, and all round been there and done that bloke, Mr Tinman himself Paul Dakeyne. And me. Spot the odd one out.
The event is happening next Thursday 9th July, from 4-9pm. Alongside the keynote and panel, there will be all manner of workshops and masterclasses, as well as the obvious chance to play on all lots of cool gear. And I’ll bring some DJWORX stickers too.
