Jazzy Jeff, Jeremy Ellis, and The Roots do Super Mario

While DMC guys have been cutting up Super Mario breaks for years, it's cool to see it done live. Jazzy Jeff, Jeremy Ellis, and the Roots do it together.

I’m not inclined to post over the weekend, but I saw this and thought it was worthy of a ten minute break from feet up time. We’ve all seen clips of DJ Jazzy Jeff, Jeremy Ellis, and The Roots in isolation. But when they’re on one stage messing around with classic Super Mario breaks, it definitely worth a few minutes of your attention. Enjoy and have a good weekend!

  1. 2 voices vs 4 voices vs 10 voices.
10 years ago I should choose between buy a technics or buy a Sp555 (my budget was and it’s still limited) and I choose the most versatil per pound one (due I would need a mixer and some records too and DVS in these days were Stanton Final scratch (ultraexpensive), Serato Scratch (protools plugin one deck) or Ms. pinky (which I bought with my before crew and was very unreliable to use these days))

So people and friends start to call me “gadgetist” (more or less at the same time of first Moldover controllerist shows at youtube) but, due I was studying Jeet Kune Do concepts since my teenaging, I refuse to call myself Controllerist. I said “Creatively Free Humang being using tools to perform and express themselves honestly… Or for those of you who need a label: Tooltablist.”
But remember, it is only a name not a limit or cliché definying what or not “is”, only a circle with no circumference.
