Ever wondered how the DJ formerly known as Vajra aka Chris Karns managed to pull off his DMC winning sets? Me too. But now his secret is out — it would appear that his astounding decksterity was secretly supplemented by Mortal Combat’s Goro mode, captured here for the first time in a most splendid promo for the Rane Sixty Two mixer.
If you ever thought you needed an extra set of arms to beat this guy… too late. He’s already one step ahead of you. Try harder. Chris – time to step up to 4 deck turntablism I think. Why let your new found… ummm… limbs go to waste?
Looks good, but pointless. The four arms might have meant something, if he was using the 64:) just a thought…
Hehe yeah the extra arms are not doing much, but maybe it´s meant to say “I have 4 arms and I don´t even need to use them all” :D
That was certainly original
I wonder where DMC and the IDA stand on the use of extra limbs?
I’m gonna go out on a limb here (hehe) and say they’re most likely legal in Team / Showcase battle categories.
Am I the only one that feels they should’ve incorporated the ‘FATALITY’ sound?
Still a great demo..
He should have changed his name to DJ Octopus, or DJ Spideroma
Just enjoy it, who gives a shit. It looked cool.
I think Mark needs a proofreader!
“pull of” (twice!) = pull off
“Me to” = Me too
“secretly supplement” = secretly supplemented
“Mortal combat” = Mortal Combat
…..although “decksterity” I take it is [sic]. :-)
I need to not write anything on a Sunday morning.
Yes, couse Sunday Morning it s a Great Time for THE AFTERparty)))
Interesting Video but I am still going to get the N.I. Z2!
Does anyone know where I can get europ sound scratch / battle record mp3s?
that was a sick vid
Great vid, however, sadly I only have two arms and two hands so I won’t be buying the mixer.
