Atomix have been out on the road again with their Power Room series. This time, they caught up with Charles Seaton aka DJ Eyecon, who puts the Rane Sixty-Two through its paces.
Atomix seems to have heeded the comments about using known DJs doing more than a little bit of aaah scratching. This video features another short but sweet routine using the Sixty-Two and Dicers, all mapped and working just fine with VirtualDJ 8 and DVS.
And even though DJ Eyecon is a sponsored Rane DJ, he’s quite happy to say that he can’t tell the difference between VirtualDJ and the other obvious software that he uses (but cannot name) with his Rane Sixty-Two (it’s Serato — we can say it). Clearly Atomix is still working hard to improve plug and play integration with as many things as possible.
Anyway, check out this video — it’s worth it.
i wonder when vdj will go 64 bit
Wait I thought VDJ 8 was 64 bit?
The Mac version is 64 bit…
nice so i hope it goes to windows
Good to know thanks Scott it works great on my mac. Since where on the subject does vdj 8 really need to have the discrete gpu enabled whenever its launched?
It’s the only thing that really needs to be resolved not that there’s a problem with that.
right now on windows mixvibes cross and traktor is 64 bit .
i heard that serato dj will be doing the same im not sure when .
sidenote so far i own , vdj and mixvibes cross ,serato dj
i plan to try them all with my new numark nv coming in this coming week
I also own vdj and sdj and I’m currently using the numark NS7II. Also got the NS7 MK1 & a pair of V7’s. I can honestly say vdj 8 runs on these units far better than serato in terms of stability and system usage. Even sounds better too.
Interested on how the NV works with vdj let us know when you get it will check it at Media Headz TV.
i just got vdj to scratch better . i miss my filter roll tho
great skills but the picture on his mixer is making my eyes bleed.
