When Audio Artery’s One DJ hit the scene, it had the promise of something different, something that we fully support around here. And while traction has been a little slow in getting One DJ established, it seems that Vestax and DJ Rasp are very much behind it, especially the timeline features.
This video heralds a new v1.6 of One DJ. Full details will be announced tomorrow I believe, and we’ll update you accordingly. But the video shows that with the VCI-400, One DJ is a very capable piece of software, especially when driven by a world class DJ. More details when we have them.
The screen looks all stuck, not fluid at all.

The applications UI is beautiful. I wonder what it looks like on Retina Display Mac.
I’d love to see a making of for this routine – it’s really hard for me to tell what’s preproduced and what’s live; and it makes it hard to tell what the unique features of the One are doing to make this routine different from that which you could do with Serato / Traktor.
