2013 marks the 10th year of our journey through the DJ technology world, first with skratchworx and now DJWORX. And it would be remiss of us not to mark the occasion in style, and I’ve cooked up a couple of things that I think you’re going to like, and I’d love for you to get involved.
We’re after 2 things to help us make this project:
DJWORX drops: Nothing too complex, just regular audio DJ drops sent through in any way you wish. Your voice, Voice Over Guy, vocoder, or just whatever you feel like doing — just create a cool drop that name checks DJWORX. I have a deadline of close of play on Thursday for this, so please be quick. All I ask is that they’re of the highest quality, created to hit the 87/174 bpm sweet spot, and 44.1 kHz / 16bit PCM WAV or AIFF would be nice. I’m not saying we’ll use them all, but yours could be immortalised in the new DJWORX theme.
Shout outs: Ideally, this needs to be video, but audio is OK too. This will be for a video that celebrates the last 10 years, so feel free to give us a simple shout, or perhaps something a little longer about how skratchworx and DJWORX have helped. If you need inspiration, just wish us a happy birthday. But if there are any manufacturers, shops or organisations who have enjoyed having us around, feel free to send us a group or collective shout out.
