UDG DJ luggage laptop stand musikmesse 2013

UDG is regarded as the OG of the DJ luggage game. But in recent years, they’ve seen other brands come along and essentially show them how it’s done. So after a short time in the wilderness, they’re regrouping and coming back with a series of new products. Last year’s Musikmesse saw a handful of hard cases, and this year, they’ve spread their wings a bit further to introduce a new UDG Creator laptop stand.

There’s no getting away from it — this clearly borrows heavily from the long established Crane stand. The construction is the same, from the way it folds and adjusts to how it looks and feels. There are however some differences that might make you want to take a further look.

Firstly, it comes in a foam padded bag, which will protect anything else you happen to have stuffed into your DJ rucksack. Secondly, it is height adjustable to a ridiculous degree via the large hand tightened control. If you’re the kind of DJ who likes to hide, the UDG laptop stand is for you as it adds around 8 inches of extra height. It also has 2 legs instead of one, which for me possibly makes it possibly more stable for larger units, but harder to slot under a mixer. This also comes with a tray as standard, and slots into the stem in a pretty inventive way.

Price wise, this stand will set you back 149 euros and is coming very soon.

THE COMMENTS SECTION

Commenting Etiquette

Welcome to DJWORX. It’s the most engaged community around, and we have a handful of house rules to keep it that way:
  • • Be polite and constructive.
  • • Treat others as you would expect to be treated. So please disengage keyboard warrior mode before hammering in a full caps rant.
  • • Stay on topic.
  • • Consider your tone of voice. Telling someone that they’re wrong comes across better as “I don’t agree and here’s why”.
  • • No links to copyrighted or offensive material.
Life is way too short to waste time policing comments. So break the rules and you’re out. It’s just the internet, and  the DJWORX community is way more important than catering to the fragile egos of ranting trolls. I trust I have been crystal clear.
