Seems like French DJ software purveyor Mixvibes is on a bit of a software rampage right now. Having put their Cross DJ software on just about every platform worth a damn, and following up with producer oriented Remixlive, they’re now giving a tantalising glimpse of their next foray into pastures new. Behold a teaser for their new video mixing software.

Video is nothing new to Mixvibes though. Being a staple part of their range more or less since the early days of rickety tables and crashing PCs at Musikmesse, they’re polished and honed their take on playing with video, and distilled it all down into this new software, with a yet to be released name, but I suspect you can work it out.

But what is it? Well from the video you can see a very Remixlive workflow, with video clips in a grid, and being used like sample pads. The opening shot has a Launchpad controlling playback, and for a brief flash, you can see Ableton Live in the background, which indicates possible VST use too.

I really don’t want to say too much, especially as I have a beta running in another window. But from my brief play, this is a very complementary piece of software to go with the rest of the Mixvibes range. More detail when it becomes available.

THE COMMENTS SECTION

Commenting Etiquette

Welcome to DJWORX. It’s the most engaged community around, and we have a handful of house rules to keep it that way:
  • • Be polite and constructive.
  • • Treat others as you would expect to be treated. So please disengage keyboard warrior mode before hammering in a full caps rant.
  • • Stay on topic.
  • • Consider your tone of voice. Telling someone that they’re wrong comes across better as “I don’t agree and here’s why”.
  • • No links to copyrighted or offensive material.
Life is way too short to waste time policing comments. So break the rules and you’re out. It’s just the internet, and  the DJWORX community is way more important than catering to the fragile egos of ranting trolls. I trust I have been crystal clear.
