Orbit’s JetPack Slim — right here right now

JetPack Slim bag (1)

The modern DJ’s life is littered with more stuff than ever. And this stuff is generally crammed into a cavernous DJ bag that leaves the wearer looking like a human sized snail. But not every DJ needs to lug mixers, controllers, and other heavy gubbins around. Indeed, the more evolved digital DJ can turn up with little more than a couple of USB drives in their pockets. Orbit Concepts, purveyors of the JetPack range of DJ pages has recognised this more streamlined need, and presents the JetPack Slim, an optimised stuff-carrying experience.

Numerous words from Orbit Concepts:

Orbit Concepts to Lauch the New JetPack Slim DJ Backpack on October 25th, 2016

Orange, California, October 12th 2015 – Orbit Concepts releases their newest product, the JetPack Slim, the latest from their popular JetPack DJ backpack series. Since 2011, Orbit Concept’s JetPack DJ bag line has been appreciated worldwide for its innovative design, unprecedented functionality, and commitment to quality.  The JetPack Slim will continue this tradition, but in a more compact and sleek design.

The launch of the JetPack Slim will be celebrated in conjunction with Orbit Concepts’ 5 year anniversary. To mark this occasion, Orbit Concepts has decided to temporarily offer a limited supply of the JetPack Slim at a promotional price of $99.99, the very same introductory discount that was offered for the original JetPack bag, released 5 years ago. The JetPack Slim will be available starting Tuesday, October 25th 2016 only at www.OrbitConcepts.com.

With the new JetPack Slim, Orbit Concepts is proud to announce that the world’s best DJ backpack finally meets a compact day bag design!  This bold new style is perfect for a DJ’s needs, but is still suitable for everyday use. Trim with a sleek aesthetic, the Slim utilizes JetPack’s core organizational approach, and some of the same features that made previous JetPacks so popular.

The Slim is the ultimate DJ travel bag with its TSA Approved laptop compartment. It easily fits underneath a seat or overhead, and is so compact it can be considered a personal item, not a carry-on! The Slim includes a convenient luggage tag, and also features JetPack’s classic trolley sleeve, which work great with luggage, or a dolly/cart.

The Slim’s ambition is to be the most compact bag that’s still meant for all daily essentials. Enjoy familiar JetPack core features such as the elevated headphone compartment, and built-in vinyl sleeves, along with a full complement of functional pockets and pouches. The Slim also features rock solid construction with water resistant ballistic nylon and tear resistant ripstop interior.

The JetPack Slim is perfect fit for DJs who want a DJ bag without all of the bulk, and a gig bag that they can also use everyday. The JetPack Slim doesn’t sacrifice fashion for function, it’ll look great for any occasion. Orbit Concepts is excited about this new release, and hopes the JetPack Slim is just the bag many DJs have been looking for.

It really is right here right now

Forgive the Fatboy Slim pun, but I do have a JetPack Slim in The Worxlab. And while my days of playing out are over, my days of carrying stuff around are still hopefully many. So for a week or so, I’ll be swapping my trusty Barbour Messenger for the JetPack Slim and giving it the real world test that it was designed for. So my MacBook Pro, cameras, Moleskines, and lunch box will be roughly thrown around my life, and hopefully protected by the JetPack Slim. And don’t worry — I’ll also be testing out just how much DJ gear I can shoehorn into it too.

I like that it’s TSA approved. Those who travel to DJ will appreciate that awful moment as you approach the check-in counter at an airport, only to be told that your immaculately packed ruck sack is unacceptable as a carry on, even if you jump up and own on it to make it fit the size checker. At least now you’ll know that your DJ life can be stowed safely above you, and not get rough treatment from baggage handlers.

For those who cannot wait to hear my thoughts, the JetPack Slim has launched with an introductory price of $99.99, available for a short time directly from the Orbit Concepts site. For those who can wait, swing back here in a couple of weeks for a review.
