A year ago, Damien Sirkis from Next Audio Labs stood on our demo stage at BPM 2014 and told the world about Rekord Buddy 2, the long awaited sequel to the original rekordbox to Traktor converter. This time, after a lot of work, it looks like it’s finally ready for prime time. Well almost anyway.
Rekord Buddy V2 will not only convert between rekordbox and Traktor, but Serato DJ has been thrown into the mix too, and the promise of all the others coming soon too.
Is Rekord Buddy the missing link for DJs that will finally break down the barriers between disparate software libraries? Will you finally be able to move freely between apps and not have to worry about hot cues and tags disappearing? We can only hope so.
