It’s been a long haul, but we’re in the final day of trickling out the BPM demos. Unfortunately we were suffering technical difficulties with the cameras, largely down to me being a software lemming and OS X Yosemite beta apparently not being friendly to microSD cards. So we had a limited amount of recording space left, and thus only managed to grab this Rekord Buddy 2 demo from one angle, and no screen grabs to go with it. That said, Didier Malenfant from Next Audio Labs delivers an overview that’s very much worth a watch, and being the smart readers that you are, you can work out the rest. Apologies to Didier for the less than awesome attempt at filming.
Regular readers will be aware that one of our main bugbears with the DJ industry is the way each software vendor locks you into their own proprietary ways of library management. This is the main reason why we’re excited about what Rekord Buddy 2 offers — it promises to free you from being tied to one software, and beyond that will give you a single source from which to manage your music with more flexibility, and at the last moment offload it to your software of choice.
Rekord Buddy 2 is in the final stages of development, and we’ll be working with Next Audio to offer a few seats on the currently Mac-only beta program.
