Just a few more videos to go now, and this one delves into the dark and mysterious world of Ableton Live, and specifically the Ableton Push controller. Simon Lyon attempts to go screen-free to show just how intuitive the hardware in allowing you to create music just by using the Push screen. He largely pulls off his mission too, bar discovering a broken button on his demo unit. Doesn’t that always happen when there’s a crowd?
There are DJWORX teamsters for whom Ableton Push and its ilk are second nature. But being the odd one out, I found this demo particularly useful, and marks Push out for me as more than just a big box of buttons. It’s high time that one of us wrote a review about it. I’ll just leave that there for the relevant people to pick up.
