Regular visitors will know Hatty. She’s popped up many times along the timeline of skratchworx and DJWORX, and having most admirably proved her worth as a member of the DJWORX family (literally) at last year’s BPM Show, she’s now spending a few days over the uni summer break in the studio flexing her burgeoning creative skills behind the lens to help me get through the pile of boxes currently occupying space in the worx lab.
Her assignment is simple — bring a fresh set of eyes to the established quality of DJWORX photography. While I do have a certain requirement for what she needs to shoot, outside of some nurturing technical assistance, I’m throwing her in at the deep end. Just like her Dad, it seems to be a place where she does best. Pressure brings out the best in us whereas coasting brings boredom.
So wish her luck. She’s a valuable member of the team and will be herding more people at BPM 2013. More on that in coming weeks. Luckily she doesn’t drink hot drinks or she’d demote me to tea boy. Knowing her, she’s have organised me to be the intern within a couple of days. Oh well — retirement package won’t be far away.
