algoriddim tease their next big iPad thing

What’s this? Teasing a new iPad product from algoriddim? Well that’s me interested. They make great software – highly polished yet devilishly simple stuff that immediately engages you, without blinding you with controls. And this particular beauty is no exception.

I cannot talk about it, hint at it or generally comment, other than to say I really like it. A lot. It’s coming out next week, and the review is all but written already.

You have no idea how happy I am to see this posted on Facebook, for this means that my camera services will soon be coming to an end, and I can get back on with building DJWORX again. Got a stack of reviews to post.

The djay for iPad video you did for them was sick. I can’t wait to see what’s next.

    Dear Mark,

While we’re all happy for you that your hard work as a DJ and a journalist have landed you in a position in the industry where you’re privileged to receive advance information about upcoming products, these “something-cool-is-coming-and-I-know-what-it-is-but-I-can’t-tell-you” non-news have very little content, don’t represent the level of journalistic quality I’ve come to expect from DJWORX and quite frankly, are getting bloody tiresome.

    Yours truly, a long-time reader

I appreciate your frankness. But there’s a lot of others who welcome these type of stories. As for tiresome, DJWORX has been running for 10 weeks, published 84 stories and only 2 have been teasers. That’s not a bad ratio.

At least you know that there’s some cool software coming, as well as a fresh review too – that slice of journalistic quality that you want.

It is obviously a DJ app for music and video. I thought Mixvibes is going to crush Algoriddim with its CrossDJ, but CrossDJ’s release has gone completely awry with its stability issues and lack of cross-platform support on all iOS devices (no iPad1/no iPhone). With the upcoming app from Algoriddim, this will put nails into the CrossDJ before it even gets established.

I guess, I’m going all Algoriddim and Meta.DJ again.

Since Mark can’t talk about it before its release, you might want to check macrumors for more info: http://www.macrumors.com/2012/06/04/vjay-preview-fun-and-impressive-realtime-video-processing-on-an-ipad/
